Check Out the 2025 Ram Heavy Duty Lineup Today

The 2025 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty offers customers two engine options - the new 6.7-liter Cummins High-Output Turbo Diesel engine and the standard 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8 engine. The new Cummins Turbo Diesel engine and TorqueFlite HD eight-speed transmission upgrades enable 36,610 pounds of towing capability with a more fuel-efficient 3.42 rear axle ratio. Max towing was previously available only with a 4.10 axle ratio.
Â
The 2025 Ram 2500 now offers the Cummins High-Output Turbo Diesel engine, which results in quicker 0 to 60 mph times (6.9 seconds vs 8.0 seconds on 2024 MY).
Â
A new electronic column shifter and TorqueFlite HD eight-speed automatic transmission are standard equipment on both engines.
The Ram Heavy Duty engine control system recognizes if the truck is loaded or unloaded and the new TorqueFlite transmission allows for smooth second-gear starts when unladen.
Â
The all-new 6.7-liter Cummins High-Output Turbo Diesel is rated at 430 horsepower and 1,075 lb.-ft. of torque, while the 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 is rated at 405 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft. of torque. Capability includes a maximum towing capacity of 36,610 pounds (diesel) and a maximum payload of 7,590 pounds (gas). Ram 3500 Heavy Duty maximum gooseneck and conventional hitch maximum trailer weight ratings for 2025 are 36,610 pounds and 23,000 pounds, respectively.
The 2025 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty trucks feature the most advanced Uconnect system yet, with an improved 12-inch or new 14.5-inch touchscreen and an intuitive user experience. The Uconnect 5 system offers more connected services for unmatched ease of use.
Key features include:
Improved 12-inch touchscreen with higher resolution and a new 14.5-inch reconfigurable touchscreen, both with split-screen capability for dual application operation. These screens use Full Array Local Dimming technology, providing a higher contrast ratio than conventional edge-lit screens.
A segment-first 10.25-inch passenger screen with three main functions: co-pilot (navigation, device management), entertainment (via HDMI), and viewing exterior vehicle cameras. This screen, visible only to the front passenger, allows them to connect their phone or tablet via HDMI, mirroring their device and enabling internet searches, music, and apps through Uconnect 5. The 2025 Ram Heavy Duty is the only heavy-duty truck to offer this feature.
Advanced Atlantis electrical architecture enhances Uconnect 5 with operating speeds five times faster than the previous generation, more memory, and a lightning-quick response time of just 0.05 seconds.
Available class-exclusive dual wireless phone charging and sculpted connectivity ports for easy access.

The RamBox cargo management system offers the best lockable bed storage, featuring a 115-volt outlet, versatile, weatherproof, illuminated, and drainable storage bins built into the bed rails. It also includes a pickup bed divider and a cargo rail system with four sliding, adjustable cleats.
An on-board power inverter provides up to 2.4 kilowatts with two covered outlets inside the bed of the Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty. While parked with the engine running, customers can activate the inverter via the touchscreen or a switch near the outlets, prompting the engine to adjust rpm to support it.
An available fully digital rearview mirror with tow mode offers an unobstructed rear view for enhanced safety and visibility. It displays video in real time from a rear-facing camera, free from obstructions like D-pillars or rear seats, and can switch to a traditional reflective mirror with a toggle.
Power telescoping trailer tow mirrors allow the driver to extend the mirrors for improved sightlines when towing.
Trailer reverse steering control helps the driver backup and guide the trailer. After entering a few measurements, the system tracks the trailer's position and adjusts the steering as needed. The driver rotates the dial to steer the trailer in the desired direction.
Trailer-Tow Pages on the Uconnect touchscreen display key trailer information, including light checks, tire pressure monitoring (if available), brake status, and auxiliary camera shortcuts.
